Community: Located in the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, Lawton Fort Sill is the center of commerce in southwest Oklahoma. LCS has a diverse student body with a population that is 46% white, 32% African American, 12% Hispanic, 10% Asian.
School: Lawton Christian School is a comprehensive private school enrolling around 250 students in grades k3-12. The school opened in the fall of 1976 and graduated its first senior class in the spring of 1979. Lawton Christian School is accredited by the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools and the Oklahoma State Department of Education as a member of OPSAC (Oklahoma Private School Accrediting Commission), as well as the National Council for Private School Accreditation.
Curriculum: The academic program is organized on a rotating block schedule on mornings, and a static schedule in the afternoon. Students attend 2 morning classes for 95 minutes and in the afternoon they have 3 classes for 55 minutes each. Block classes are year-long; each block class meets every other day. Block classes were established in 2009. Students receive 7 credits each of their high school years.
We offer the following classes in grades 9 – 12: 4 years of math to include Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, English Literature and Composition, American Literature, World literature, and Intro to Literature and Composition, Environmental Science, Physical Science, Biology I and II, Chemistry, Oklahoma History, Cultural Geography, United States History, Government, Economics, Financial Literacy, Spanish, French, German, and Chinese.
We offer classes in Biblical Studies, Apologetics, and Philosophy. We also offer an outstanding STEM program through our Marine Biology 3 week summer program to the coast, as well as other STEM programs throughout the regular school year.
The Great Plains Technology Center (GPTC) enables juniors and seniors to enroll in AP classes (Biology, Physics, Anatomy, Calculus) through the Biomedical and Pre-Engineering programs. Students may also enroll concurrently in Cameron University to earn college credits.

Lawton Christian Secondary School uses an unweighted 4.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) system and letter/percentage grade scale, as shown below:

We do not rank our students since our graduating classes range from 11 to 25 students per year.
